I warmly welcome polite dissenting commenters
... but I wonder whether there's a conservative conspiracy. I wonder whether a well-funded conservative organization has enlisted people to comment on "liberal" blogs. The organization assigns one regular commenter to each target blog.
According to my conspiracy theory, Bryan got tired of my blog and asked for reassignment. (You haven't seen him around here lately, have you?) And they've replaced him with DBP.

I was assigned to your blog by the Bloggers' Initiative Toward Conservative Headway. (There's a lot of us BITCHes out there.)
But something happened that changed my political leanings. As much as I'd like to say that it was your well-reasoned liberal arguments, I must admit it's more likely the disastrous Bush/Cheney administration, which is out to destroy everything for which the Republican Party stands.

Neel, you are an imposter: I have never missed any of the (redacted) VRWC meetings and have never seen you there.
Janelle, I have visited your blog a couple of times--it seems far more personal than Oscar's and so commenting on it would feel intrusive. You will just have to lay into me here.

One small note: As far back as I can remember, I have done my initials in lower-case. It saves effort and I think that it looks better too.
