Should I feel shame or alarm?
Today's NYTCP gave the clue "Spock, on his father's side," and I immediately started writing "Klingon." I only realized my mistake when I found that I had run out of spaces after writing "Klingo."
I can't tell which feeling should predominate: alarm at my eroding memory, or shame at having mortally insulted the inhabitants of planet Vulcan.

This may be the first time that not using your real name on your blog has come in handy: You are free to admit (all too human) mistakes with out much concern.
On the other hand, based on the context of past commenters--I may be one of only 2 or 3 who don't know your real name:)

I don't know your real name but it had better not be Vulcan or the shame would be multiplex upon you and your father's house. It's as if Leonard Nimoy never wrote you a poem so you dismissed him like the wrinkled forehead Worf that he is indeed not.
I don't know if they do it in the Drew Carey era, but I used to love it when The Price is Right brought out the Klingo game.
