It's funny, but I'd never wear it. Is it kind of like 'I'm with stupid' but for the sophisticated set?
By the way, in linguistics, the pointing finger (not that form, but what you get in the wingdings font in word processing) is a key symbol in Optimality Theory. So, it'd be REALLY loaded at linguistics conferences.
