Vancouver wildlife

A sighting right in dowtown Vancouver, BC!

The Canadian buttbear.

Woohoo! Very very different from the Wisconsin Dells variety which I intend to post about soon. It is amazing how they have evolved differently in the different climates.
Kind of in the same hideously kitschy family as the garishly painted bighorn sheep statue we saw in the Palm Springs airport as we left it to head out to Joshua Tree National Park, to meet up with our 24 year old son for hiking,s crambling and climbing. (We ain't golfers.)
We live in Seattle, WA. Just found your site on everybody knows blog list.
Nice posts.
