Exisitential Friday: Possessions and Experiences redux
Three ways of saying the same thing:
1) my blog post.
2) the old saw, "you can't take it with you."
3) The Onion.

Of course The Onion neglected to mention that the family home, purchased post WWII for 4600 dollars now has a market value of 1.5 million dollars.
But I understand your point, depressing as it is.
---
tpotr - 1. (n.) Someone who makes tea pots.
2. (proper n.) T'Potr - An ancestor of T'Pol.
3. (v.) The act of obtaining marajuana or "pot".

I like your post. Also the old post about experiences and possessions. It rang especially true since last night I re-installed my operating system on my powerbook, and by external hardrive (on which my pics and docs were saved on) does not seem to be working today, even though it was working yesterday :(. So 2 lessons learned
1. back up everything in 2 places, not just one
2. if you lose "everything", life goes on.
