The Columnist Manifesto

As long as I'm reviewing "ad art" on Althouse, it would be just wrong not to say something about The Amsterdam Notebooks. Althouse needs no plug from me to get readers, so I'm doing this more as a public service to any CM readers who might wrongly assume that "Althouse" is "just" a public affairs blog. She's apparently posting a page a day throughout August from her sketch notebooks from a visit to Amsterdam. I love the sketches in the first installment and am eagerly awaiting a daily August sketch fix.
