Do I blog about coffee too much?

DSCN3431

If you answer the above question in my comments, please try to come up with something more orignal than, "Maybe, but you clearly have too much time on your hands," or some variant of that. Thanking you in advance.

Let me point out that it took me only about 10 minutes to set up the above photo, featuring the World's Best Iced Coffee (at Grandma Moses). You have to admit the photo is devilishly clever (or is it just another one of those "Amsterdam great ideas"?).

Anyway, it's my blog and I can do what I want. Besides, as some of my blogging colleagues recognize, coffee is an important blogging topic. Take any blog written on occasion on laptops at coffee shops, and you don't have to look far to find a post (particulary a picture post) about coffee.

Perhaps there's a correlation between coffee-related posts and digital cameras. Coffee is very photogenic.

Maybe us "coffee bloggers" should get together and do a daily coffee blog. Then all my coffee related posts would be diverted there.

RETRO UPDATE: Answer: "yes." So said Tonya, in a remarkably pointed pre-response to this post -- written two days ago! I don't know how I missed it.

Comments:
I think you've hit upon the reason I don't blog... I don't drink coffee, and thus have no reason to hang out in coffee shops. Probably another reason is that I don't know of any picturesque coffee shops in my neighborhood in which to hang out and blog. The coffee emporiums here are of the Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks variety, and not conducive to lengthy stays.

Not owning a laptop may have something to do with it, too.

Hey, Oscar, you didn't link to my post about your excessive coffee blogging.

Oh, and I like that coffee-laptop-photo-within-a-photo. Very cool.

An idea is born!
A coffee-latte moment is possibly one of the most predictably satisfying events of each day. It is natural to mention it on the blog. Repeatedly. And oh, the beauty of those browns and cream tones! I'm waiting for blogger to introduce scent. Meantime, let's get this cafe-blogging thing going. Tonya may come, but only if she grovels.

I'm not so concerned about the coffee. But why does your blog have a different color scheme on your laptop than it does on mine?

And all this time I thought you liked orange...

I'm not a big fan of orange -- that's the color on my chosen Blogger template, and I haven't yet worked out how to customize to something else.

For some reason, between the digital camera and the posting, the orange gets reddened in the photo you see. Actually, red wouldn't be so bad...

A change to the CM color scheme wouldn't be too hard -- most of the work would be in picking out the new colors (which you could do in any RGB color picker, e.g., in the Windows paint application), and making sure they played nicely together.

Cool photo.

The straw moved!

You mean you didn't see my post about your excessive coffee blogging prior to writing your post asking readers if you blog about coffee too much? Ha! That's funny. I guess great minds think alike.

I have a more pressing question though. Why aren't you reading my blog regularly? You really should be checking in at least hourly.

"The straw moved"? Is that like "the earth moved"?

Anyway, I'd like a blog that only had a picture of each day's coffee (and a couple lines of text). Reminds me of that old coffee pot website (at MIT?) that was popular in the early days of the web.

I am in search of the perfect cup of coffee and found your blog. Thanks for the post. I am thinking about starting my own blog. I get pretty specific about my interests. Currently I am looking into Espresso Coffee Machines. Anyways...thanks for the info, all the best.
